Each year, I set reading goals, but I focus on doing, building, and creating and fail to take time to connect with myself, friends, and others. So, to hold myself accountable, I’m hosting a virtual book club.

One of the things I miss from my church days is connection, discussion of ideas, and open dialog. Think of this as Bible study but focusing on other books! It’s always more interesting when we hear each other's take and perspective. Discussions that arise from different interpretations contribute to a richer experience.

The next book we are going to discuss, Silence in the Age of Noise by Erling Kagge, was recommended by my good friend Micah, and I've found it personally, incredibly profound. I’m excited to hear others' takeaways. This book explores the power of silence, happiness, and a meaningful life, in a world full of constant distractions, which is something I personally can benefit from. Whether you’re into deep reflection or just want to read something thought-provoking, I think this book is well worth your time.

The book club is virtual, so you can join from wherever you are. We’ll be meeting over Google Hangouts to kick back, enjoy a drink, and discuss. If you’re interested in joining, send me your email below and I’ll shoot you an invite!
