In August 2022 I went with my buddy Mike to check out a Honda motorcycle for sale for a potential build. The Honda was in bad shape but when the guy opened his garage I saw this BMW R65 inside. I instantly saw the potential. An AirHead was not on my radar honestly. But the looks were undeniable.
As soon as I got it home I went to work. Removing everything I deemed unnecessary.
Once I stripped everything away, I could envision a clean look. I raised the rear, created a custom under seat housing for lithium ion battery. Cleaned up the fender lines and installed manual chokes. Overall I’m super happy with the looks and how it rides. For me, the light weight works well with the smaller engine to give a manageable nimble bike that’s just fun to rip.
